Capabilities
Security
Security cannot elude its ambiguous beginnings. Derived from the Latin se (without) and cura (care), the original medieval term suggested not only a freeing of oneself from threat, but also a more negative sense of dangers arising from a hubristic carelessness. Regardless of the country in which you may reside or travel, some threat of crime will always exist. In many areas, crimes against persons and property are increasing. Several factors account for this, to include the relaxing of border controls, which has permitted greater freedom of travel. Some of the persons exercising this new freedom of travel are disadvantaged, unskilled, and criminal elements drawn by the wealth that is presenting other countries. Other factors are dynamic political and economic upheavals, and in some areas, corruption that spawns and condones have and have not life styles. However, awareness concerning the common and sometimes unique threats found abroad can help prevent you from becoming a victim.
Logistics
Logistics can be defined as the science relating to procuring, maintaining and transporting material, personnel and facilities. Similarly, logistics encompasses the time-related positioning of resources. Logistics involves the integration of information, transportation, inventory, warehousing, material handling, and packaging, and often security. From figuring out how to get you and your luggage from one point to another, to shipping 40 tons of resources across the globe, G3S2 has the capability to assist in your needs.
Communications
Global communication is the process of transmitting and receiving information on a world-wide scale. Isolation and distance have always been factors in man’s ability to communicate and until recent times it was difficult to communicate with other countries, with factors such as distance, time, and language barriers being major restrictions. At present, global communications has become increasingly important as new technologies are evoking fundamental changes in the character of our society. Evolving technology has changed life on social, cultural and political levels. With all of this reach, there are plenty of challenges and limitations to technology as well. G3S2 helps you assess your communication needs and acquire the infrastructure to keep you securely connected to the rest of the world.
Health / Medical
Every year more and more Americans are traveling internationally — for vacation, business, and volunteerism, and to visit friends and family. Whatever your reason for traveling, it is important to be proactive, prepared, and protected when it comes to your health—and the health of others—while you are traveling. G3S2 helps you take steps to anticipate any issues that could arise during your trip. No one wants to think about getting sick or hurt during a trip, but sometimes these things happen. You may not be able to prevent every illness or injury, but you can plan ahead to be able to deal with them.
Risk Management
A healthy appreciation for Risk, Risk Management, and Risk Mitigation separates the unaware traveler from those who are successful in navigating the global landscape. A mature traveler recognizes that things can and do go wrong. They understand that no amount of planning or preparation can prevent the possibility of things going wrong and that an awareness of potential risks enhances one’s ability to mitigate the effects of things going wrong. Responding rapidly and prudently to address deviations and get things back on track is what G3S2 does. We work with you to address various forms of personal, project and business related risk, no matter how large or small the scale.
Legal
When U. S. citizens are in a foreign country, they are subject to its laws. The penalties for misunderstanding, much less disobeying, local laws can be quite severe. Some governments are especially sensitive about such innocent acts as taking architecturally based photographs. Without detailed and relevant context, you may easily find yourself being detained, and your personal items being confiscated. About 1,000 Americans are arrested abroad on drug charges each year, many without merit. When people travel abroad, they are subject to the laws of the countries in which they travel, not to U. S. laws. Criminal procedure in other countries can be very different from U. S. criminal procedures. If U. S. citizens become involved in legal difficulties abroad, there is little that the U. S. embassy or a consular officer can do for them. American officials are limited by foreign as well as U. S. laws. In short, a consular officer cannot get them out of a foreign jail, nor can they serve as their attorney or give them legal advice. This is where G3S2 can provide swift and immediate assistance. from registering a birth abroad to understanding humanitarian law, we have an impressing network of legal counselors across the globe.
Financial
Being the master of your financial responsibilities back home is easy if you make a few arrangements in advance of your departure. Failure to do so can mean finding yourself a continent away with no means to pay your bills, get cash or remedy a festering financial situation. G3S2 works with you to understand how to move money, discreetly and within global compliance and customs regulations.
