What is "Greater Good?"Altruistic - adj : showing unselfish concern for the welfare of others [syn: selfless] G3S2 views altruistic action taken – work for the benefit for others – as greater good work. From the action taken, there should be no significant gain realized for oneself, family or personal networks. Water projects, medical and health assistance, orphan care, disaster relief, education and community development efforts are usually universally seen as typical greater good efforts. G3S2 also considers human rights and religious freedom focused efforts to be for the greater good. Also, any action taken that fits the spirit of these other more common works will be considered greater good until evidence to the contrary is realized. G3S2 defines "greater good" in broad simplistic terms, and G3S2 clients are self-declared as such, even though G3S2 will carefully review this classification when necessary. |
