Satellite Internet Backup

A satellite-based Internet connection to provide a backup for G3S2’s existing land-based connection.

The benefits of G3S2’s remote location is occasionally eclipsed if the existing T1 Internet connection it uses is interrupted. This is a potential problem with any land-line-based access. G3S2 looks to add a satellite-based connection for an alternative path to the Internet. This connection would also allow some types of traffic to be offloaded from the existing networks which would improve existing work.

With the Internet being such an important part of low-cost communications, many - including G3S2 - have become highly dependent on this excellent tool. Providing funding for this backup system would also allow G3S2 to more aggressively pursue opportunities where 99.9% Internet connectivity is a requirement.
